This natural stone is actually a metamorphic rock known as quartzite. Originally sandstone, the green stone developed as a result of metamorphosis and is made almost entirely of quartz. Quartzite will often have a white tone, however much like quartz itself, the inclusion of unique minerals from the environment affects the colour.
